Guayabitos Mexican in Bryson City

This was our first visit. There were a couple minor mixups with getting our food but they were quickly resolved. I had the mixed fajitas with lettuce, guacamole, pick de gallo, and refried beans. The food was delicious. Upon learning that we were looking for things to do in the area of Bryson City, the cashier discussed some of the different option available. Because we expressed interest in tubing down the river he took the time to look up and show us pictures of it on his tablet.

My family and I really enjoy this restaurant. The staff is always attnative amd courteous. The menu consists of a large variety of Mexican food at a decent price.

Came in for lunch today at 2:35pm waited a few minutes for someone to acknowledge us at the front. Once our order was placed we waited over 45 mins for our food. Very unusual for a Mexican restaurant. The server advised they only had one cook. Once we got our food it was good. Not fantastic but good.

Guayabitos has adjusted well to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are taking safety precautions very serious. The restaurant is clean and setup to allow for social distancing. My food was delicious, as always. The service was extremely fast and accurate. My server was top-notch. Great Mexican restaurant in Bryson City!

Wonderful, fabulous, delicious, amazing! This is our favorite place to have a date night! The food is on point and the staff is always kind and accommodating. Love love love. What else can I say??

I was very disappointed today. Waited for 45 minutes on an order that they told us would take 15, and then wound up leaving after finding out they lost the order and it never got made.

Food was lukewarm, service was mediocre. Had a large party which gave us the opportunity to try much of the menu. Overall the group wasn't really impressed with the food. I think the main complaint was how bland the dishes were, that coupled with the temperature they were served at was off putting.

Terrible service, some of the worst we’ve ever had. We arrived at 645pm and waited and waited and waited to be greeted or seated. Multiple servers walked past and no one said anything. At least 4 tables left and were cleared but no one came to seat us. Maybe it was a busier night, but to not even acknowledge our family is surprising. We waited 15 minutes then left. To be fair I didn’t have the food so the rating is just a reflection of a poor service experience.

Just had an extremely overpriced weekday lunch here that was absolutely horrible. Food was barely palatable and nowhere near worth the price. A lot of up-charges that weren’t brought to our attention turned an $18 horrible lunch into a $26 horrible and overpriced lunch in a dingy, dark dining area that smelled like sewer and mildew and looked like someone’s basement. Won’t be returning.

The enchilada was very cold in the center.

The food is great, and everyone that work there was very helpful and nice.. I would recommend this for anyone that likes Mexican food..

Bryson City's best fajita nachos! After a relaxing and breathtaking scenic drive through the Smokies, stop by Guayabitos for some of the best Mexican cuisine you will ever savor! Their menu is just right, service is excellent, and the restaurant is easy to find. Pricing is affordable and won't break your wallet. If you're in the area, give them a try! You won't be disappointed!

OMG. got sat right down. The greeter all but jumped in front of us to welcome us. They immediately did the Mexican Restaurant chips and drink thing. Our order was taken in a timely manner. The wait staff was super pleasant. My beer was served in a frozen mug. ERMUHGERD!!! The Bryson is amazing! Chicken and shrimp?!? Yes please!

Great service, kind staff and excellent food with large portions. Their pricing is very affordable considering so many of their meals are enormous. Easily earns 5 stars from me.

So the best part of our visit was the service. My husband is Mexican so we eat Mexican all the time. They do lots of advertising and based off the reviews we decided to try it. Mistake. There was 0 favor. Refried beans from a can. They took our order and I went to the restroom. I came back in 4 minutes and the food was ready. How is that even possible? The staff was super nice but the food needs flavor and should be fresh. There is a much better option down the road.

Probably the best authentic Mexican cuisine of our travels across the USA this year. Very friendly, quick and competent service. Large menus of excellent food. Family owned and operated. We are highly recommending it. Important reason to make Bryson City our entry point into the Smoky Mountains.

Decent staff. Average fajitas, a little on the dry side. They seemed reheated, but maybe just well done. Dirty floor was a turn off. Very worn decor without the personality to make it "charmingly dated". Will not return.

Visited Bryson City last week. Picked up some burritos from Guayabitos for lunch one day and they were delicious!!

Good food for the price. Very clean and nice inside. Definitely a "Diamond in the rough"..

Had a wonderful dinner and the staff was great!!

We've been here multiple times and the food has always been great. The last 2 experiences were definitely not up to par, these were take-out orders and we'd always eaten in before. They left one meal of 4 out of our first take out order and quickly fixed it, but we had to drive back. The second order was mixed fajitas and 50% of the food was green peppers with very little meat. What meat there was was chopped into tiny little bits, we actually had to get a spoon to eat this. They also left out our cheese dip. I will go back but only if I want to eat in!!

My husband & I eat there at least twice a month. The food is always delicious & there’s very little wait time between placing your order and getting your food. They have the friendliest staff and they always make you feel welcome. We always recommend Guyabitos to anyone looking for a delicious place to eat!

Service was reasonable and very quick despite the fact that we had a large group that showed up at different times. Wait Staff very friendly and helpful. We had the taco salads and they were delicious.

The food is amazing, and so is the service. I am giving a 4 star review because the restaurant was pretty dirty, to be fair though, I arrived shortly after lunch so maybe this was dilue to a lunch rush. Still, the food is excellent, and authentic.

Simple south of the border favorites with good portions and good service. I never was out of chips or drink while enjoying one of two dozen combo platters.

Brought here by a local. Never been disappointed with Mexican anywhere. However, the salsa was really perfect and the chips were fresh....I mean really fresh. The chips were so hot, with that fried crispy flavor....wow. The food was as it always is, fresh and great.

Service is sometimes slow but the food is good
